St. Urbain Bagels, at the back of the south Market since the early 1990s, was the first company to introduce Montreal-style bagels to Toronto. All their bagels are baked fresh daily on the premises.
They carry all flavours and types of bagels, and the favourite flavours sell out very quickly. People buy the "still warm from the oven" bagels by the dozen, along with a container of fresh cream cheese. Some of the bagel varieties are: cinnamon-raisin, onion-garlic, blueberry, whole wheat, flax, multi-grain, and more. The cream cheeses and tofutti come in many flavours.
